Board of Directors

An independent board of nine directors, including an executive director, manage FFI CRC.  Their roles, appointment/retirement and responsibilities are described in the Company Constitution.

The Board of Future Farm Industries CRC Ltd is chaired by Andrew Inglis, a farmer and grains industry leader. He currently chairs Plant Health Australia, is a past Chair of the Grains R&D Corporation and past Deputy Chair of ABB Grain

The Deputy Chair is Lucinda Corrigan, a farmer and partner in a beef genetics firm.  She is a Director of the Beef CRC and past Deputy Chair of CRC Salinity.

The other Directors are:

  • Kathryn Adams, an expert in intellectual property management and Senior Research Fellow with the Australian Centre for Intellectual Property in Agriculture.  She is a Director of the Forest and Wood Products R&D Corporation, the Cotton Catchment Communiities CRC Ltd, and Plant Health Australia Ltd.
  • Dr Andrew Campbell, who runs his own consulting business, Triple Helix Consulting, and was until recently Executive Director of Land & Water Australia.  He is a highly regarded leader and commentator on natural resource management and sustainability policy, knowledge management and organisational change.
  • Dr Tim Healey, an experienced non-executive director, who has been a director of a number of significant companies and government corporations, including United Energy Ltd and Atlinta Ltd.  He has strong experience in corporate governance, audit and risk management, and finance.
  • Mick Poole, a consultant with extensive experience in research leadership at CSIRO and the Department of Agriculture in Western Australia.  He was a Board Member and Chair of the Research Committee for CRC Salinity, and is highly regarded for his expertise in dryland farming systems and landscape managment.
  • Prof. Tim Reeves, a Director of the Grains R&D Corporation and previously Director-General of the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Centre (CIMMYT).  He has wide experience in agricultural R&D, sustainable agriculture, natural resource management and international development.
  • David Sackett, a farm management consultant with extensive experience in livestock enterprises and the wool industry.  He is a Board Director with the Sheep CRC.
  • Kevin Goss is the Executive Director. He was previously Chief Executive Officer for CRC Salinity, Deputy Chief Executive of the Murray-Darling Basin Commission, and an Executive Director in the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia.

 

Mark Stickells is the Company Secretary.  He is Commercial Director with FFI CRC Ltd and was Chief Operating Officer for CRC Salinity.

The Board meets quarterly.

Participant engagement in FFI CRC direction and management will be via participant meetings, consultation on project development, and through direct communication.  There will be two participants meetings a year:

  • April - planning workshop with advice and recommendations for the Annual Operating Plan.
  • November - 'achievements' meeting, reviewing project outputs and CRC progress.  Held in association with the Annual General Meeting of the Company
