Privacy Policy

In accordance with the National Privacy Principles, the CRC provides the following privacy statements.

Data Collection

Data that in some way identifies the user is gathered during interactions with the FFI CRC website in the following circumstances:
  • Computer Information

It is a necessary part of visiting any website that the user's web browser provides the machine's identity (its IP address) to the web server so that the server can address the reply to the correct machine. In addition, the browser type and operating system are provided.
  • Navigation and ClickStream Data

Browsing any website generates a trail of pages visited and the time spent displaying each page, which is useful in the continual evaluation of the site. In the unlikely event of an investigation, a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the service provider's logs. This does not identify individual users.

Email management - collection of personal information

The CRC will only record your e-mail address if you send us a message. It will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it and will not be added to a mailing list without your consent. We will not use your e-mail address for any other purpose, and will not disclose it, without your consent.

Your contact details

Any personal information collected online will only be collected with your consent using lawful and fair means, and only used for a lawful purpose.

Occasionally we may provide your contact details, provided voluntarily and knowingly by you to the CRC, to a third party, for example to a conference organiser promoting a conference of which the CRC is a supporter or sponsor, or for CRC initiated surveys seeking stakeholder evaluation of the CRC's performance or products.

If you do not consent to the CRC using your personal information as detailed above, please send an email to the communications officer at ewheeler@fnas.uwa.edu.au and an appropriate stop will be put in place.
