FFI Business Case

The Future Farm Industries CRC applicants submitted a ‘full business case’ to the CRC Programme as part of the selection process for Australian Government funding.  This document, also known as the Stage 2 application, describes in detail what FFI CRC proposes to achieve, the activities necessary to reach these achievements, and the resources to operate the research venture.

The interim Business Plan for the FFI CRC is an abridged version of the full business case.  It is the key document for learning about the new CRC and evaluating your potential interest in becoming more involved in its activities from 1 July 2007.

The Business Plan is in several parts:

  • Section 1: “The outcomes will contribute substantially to Australia’s industrial, commercial and economic growth” (i.e. the economic benefits)
  • Section 2: “The path to adoption (commercialisation/utilisation) will achieve the identified outcomes” (i.e. the Adoption and commercialisation strategy)

  • Section 3: “The collaboration has the capability to achieve the intended results” (i.e. the research and development, and the education and training strategies)

  • Section 4: “The funding sought will generate a return and represents good value for the taxpayer” (i.e. the financial case)

  • Section 5: Outputs and Milestones (Research, Commercialisation and Utilisation, Education and Training)

  • Section 6: Schedules of resource allocations and key researchers
